Over the last four years Teton Productions has been deeply involved in bringing the power of story to education throughout California. From CA grant initiatives, career technical pathways, to project based charter and expeditionary learning, Teton has established a strong foundation in story telling in education.
So where did this interest in storytelling in education begin? Some 17 years ago, when Teton’s founder started the Youth Institute, an award winning media program and James Irvine Foundation initiative that focused on empowering youth via critical thinking and high tech media literacy.
Accolades within the Youth Media field led Nick to several appointments with the United Nation Foundation, International NGO’s, Museums and Universities. In addition, Nick held appointments as the United Nations – U.S. Youth Ambassador 2004-2005 , U.N. Foundation– Media Advisor 2006– U.N. Foundation – Girl Up Campaign Consultant 2012, Earth Train International- Associate Director 2004-2007: Panama and Earth University: Indigenous Scholarship Advisory in Costa Rica 2007-2008.
